After an unceremonious exit from the Congress, former PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar seems to be ready for a new innings by jumping ship to the BJP in Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
Sources close to Jakhar said he had been in Delhi for the last few days and was in deliberations with the top brass.
Jakhar was not only upset with the way he was treated by the Congress high command but was also not happy with the way in which he was issued a show-cause notice over alleged anti-party activities.
Sources close to Jakhar added that he is likely to be given some responsibility in Punjab and would be instrumental to ensure that the BJP increases its footprint in Punjab prior to 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
