Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday was shifted to the ICU at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. He has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for past several days.
His son and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav reached Medanta Hospital.
In July 2021, the 82-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital after complaining about uneasiness.
Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya wished for Singh's speedy recovery.
"Information was received through the media about the deteriorating health of former Chief Minister of UP, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji, I wish and pray to God for his speedy recovery!" he tweeted.
BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla also extended his wishes for the former UP CM's quick recovery.
"My prayers and wishes to Mulayam Singh Yadav ji and his family – hope he makes a quick recovery," he tweeted.
Taking to Twitter, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed concern over the SP founder's deteriorating health and prayed for his speedy recovery.
